Hello Guys! I've started a dutch website, it's not in a competitive niche keywords i target when i search in google.nl with quotes have 7000 - 30000 competing pages! I've read lot about SEO and how it works. I've setup my site with 40+, 500-1000 word of unique content. My site uses WordPress with Thesis theme (with unique design). I have optimized all pages/tags/images/title tags/meta tags/keywords/categories. Done 301 redirect on "none www" version of the site to the "www" version. The site it self is new and just registered 1+ month ago. I've already started to see listening for to targeted keywords within TOP 100 placements. ---------------------- What i'm wondering what the optimal off page campaign would be, as i dont have much money to spend on Quality SEO companies, i though i would try it myself. What method should i use to build backlinks for .nl website? F.eks if i build links on "ezinearticles.com" with unique English written articles in the same niche with back links to internal pages have any good value? Please help me get my site started off the ground? Thank You!
Ok, it seems to me like you are well on your way. I am not sure if you did this but you did not mention it for on-page is a sitemap, create it and submit it to search engines. AS for your off-page there are MANY things that you can do but here are the most commonly used in order to help build backlinks: Forum posting (with signature), blog commenting, article writing and distributing, social bookmarking, classifieds. As for articles, YES it is a VERY effective way to build backlinks as long as you do it RIGHT. You should make sure your articles are of good quality, have a good balance between keyword and informative content. Ensure that the sentences are well structured and each one conveys a message. Do NOT stuff the articles with keywords and do not mention your website in the articles. Always keep in mind that the article should be informative and NOT a sales copy. ALSO remember that SEO is an ONGOING process. Most people do the initial work and forget about it. Guess what happens next; your competitor keeps working hard and will pass you by in the SERPS and whatever other linkbuilding you have done.
Thanks for your reply! Yes i was planing to execute these steps, and also i have made a Google Sitemap.xml and submitted it! Thanks for the advice, but f.eks if my site is in Dutch and i write a English article and submit it to ezine or go-articles linking back to a .nl website, is that good / white-hat ? Will google penalize if they see these type's of back-links? Offcourse, your're 100% right!
one more thing you can do is to post in article websites which is offering article posting services in different languages. that will also help you
