I was curious about that myself... anyone? It's been recommended to me by another guy on the forum but it didn't seem like HE had read it. No thoughts, eh? RD
I'm currently reading the book and I like it. I'm learning a lot of stuff that I knew nothing about. I bought the book and am glad I did because I know I will have to go back and refer to it many times. Besides teaching me about SEO there are lots of useful tips and website links in the book. I'd recommend it but I am Reeeealy a beginner. I may be the one who recommended it and didn't seem like I'd read it. I still haven't finished it and also have some memory trouble with what I have read. Most of you would absorb it a lot easier than I am.
I have read it few months ago. Its a good read for beginners because all the information is discussed here in DP The book is rather old.. but it does states down the number of letters / words you should use for titles, meta etc. These numbers can serve as a good reference thou I would recommend another SEO related book by Dave Taylor- 'Growing your business with Google'. This book is much newer and it I like it very much. Good Luck!
SEO isn't that hard, at all. BTW: @Mong: I love you Google Watch Tool although it isn't so Google targeted . Good job!
Hehe, i can't believe webdesign companies still create table designs, still wrap their headings in <span class="heading1"> etc... There are always more stupid people then you think
SEO isn't that hard to learn. I have gotten many sites to #1 position. I never read SEO for Dummies though. THat book would go out of style quickly.
Aren't there some basic things about SEO that beginners need to learn somewhere.....like in books and reading online?
SEO is much more common sense and reading a couple good blogs and forums and you're done. But, for the people who would rather spend $100 on a book...I guess the problem is books do offer info in an organized manner and that's what people like to see...
Amazingly SEO is very easy Its driving traffic making conversions and earning revenues many seem to have issues with!!!!!!!!!!
There's always a noob out there who doesn't know. Just like there's always a sucker born every minute.
"Believe none of what you hear, and half what you read" No idea who said it or if I even read it....... Peace
Thats true, not everything that anyone said is Gospel, Not even Mathew, Mark, Luke and John are totally true in every way. It's good to have various sources for your information, not just a forum and definately not just this forum alone.
