Hello, I am the proud owner of a high quality blog and my question is: what does it take to be recognized and ranked high by Google? My blog is very new, but the content is always unique and informative. I have owned many blogs in the past, but I have never quite set my standards quite this high. Just how high those standards are, I really couldn't tell you, but the main things that I focus on are: - High quality - Believable - Informative - Helpful - Every article contains at least 1 link - Every article has a featured image - Everything is tagged - Images are given good titles/descriptions - All articles are indexed into their own pages by the name of the topic - Articles flow - Articles aren't too long - Categorized articles - Well-structured articles - Using an easily readable font type/size. - The domain name is only 2 or 3 syllables long. - The domain name contains 1 word which is extremely popular and drives paying traffic. - Site is ad-free. I should add that I have learned to do everything above only from common sense and experience. Am I missing anything? What has made your own blog popular? Was it a service, an idea, a set of principles, a helpful individual/community... or ... do you think you just got lucky? I'd like to get as many opinions as possible. Feel free to shoot me down and tell me I'm wrong about everything and that all anyone really needs to have a successful blog is something random like... I don't know, a pet Chihuahua? Or maybe your blog wasn't successful. If that's the case... let me know where you think you went wrong!

Jasilyne, it looks like the only thing I am missing is to "submit to the main directory." How many directories did you submit to during your first months?
Hi David Pen, It's not necessary that you have to submit Specific number of directories per month. you can submit in 15 to 20 sites but careful it should be high quality.
Hello, VanessaMeacham. I know you don't have to submit a specific number, but I was curious how many Jasilyne had submitted before she started getting any traffic.
You have added at least 1 links to each post. Is it necessary ? If you avoid adding Links to your newly build site then it will be most beneficial for good ranking. Moreover, you asked here........ "Articles aren't too long" Right, lengthy articles cause to be bored someone. But it's better to write and post 400-600 Words Articles with attractive images.
1234nasir, how exactly is it good not to add links to a new website? I mean, I think you're assuming that the website has so much content that the viewer would be more inclined to stick around if there weren't any links to other websites. That's the only way I think that it might be beneficial. Do you have any specific examples on that?
