Hey all, I know most web languages inside out but dont get SEO at all... Im involved in a few websites at the moment that need a very VERY high rating on google.com/ie - hands up who's willing to help?
On a side note, I'd like to learn the same, just like this guy. Anyone got any good links or tutorials?

concentrate on content. and know your target market. if you can create content that your target market is looking for then they will find it. But optimise your content as well, search google for information on keyword optimisation.
I think concentrating on keywords is the key for SEO. You would need to do the following things to list higher in Search engine results: 1. Write some keyword rich articles. You can try to find the most searched for keywords, relevant to your category, from the overture keyword inventory. 2. Using your targeted keywords in the title of the post, in the post atleast 3 times (may be not more than 5 - 6 times) would do the wonders for you. 3. Get links from other higher PR sites and don't forget to have your targeted keyword as anchor text for your link. There are many more strategies that I may not have discovered yet. Everything starts from YOUR website. Read on Building your website thinking SEO, Once you have found your targeted keywords than implement them within your site by following that small article. Anyway SEO doesn't stop just there, you need to read more and more and more and find seo resources which can lead your further and can help you in your SEO.
