I have a free upload site and I'm poking around right now and seeing tools for seo checking, optimization and such, is it possible to seo a free upload site? I know you can enter tag clouds and text links but for an upload site that has files constantly added to it, what is there to seo? I have one page that's static and that's it. Thanks for your help, as you can tell I'm the seo village idiot. Also I don't know if this is the right place to ask for this or not, but I'd like to add a links section to my main content section. I know that this would help with pr(from what I am reading here on DP) But I can't (I don't have the knowledge) to code in a section like this. Where would I make the request to have somone add this feature to my website? I'm not sure what would even look right without completely wrecking my site and having it look like crap. The trick with such a site is building up a site directory of all past searches and/or all potential searches. Then you could have many, many pages for the search engines to index and rank you for. It may help to make those urls search engine friendly with a mod rewrite. From there it will mostly come down to building better backlinks than your competitors. Don't worry about building a links page. That is a strategy that was more effective several years ago. Browse this forum and other seo resources and learn how to use other link building strategies...things like: article submissions, directory submissions, forum signatures, blog commenting, press releases, social bookmarking, etc.
