I have just recently started optimizing my latest website and I am certainly not an SEO pro, but I do know the basics. My question is how do you optimize a news site for certain keywords and phrases when the content continuously changes? Or do you? I just became a member of DP today so I am not allowed to give you a live link yet, but you can take a look at www.thefloridacitizen.com
is the domain new too? if so, it will probably fall into the google sandbox and will stay for a while, at least 3-6 months. Perfumebabe
What is your website about? If you cannot optimize your website for the content, then maybe with the words in your domain name.
For the new site, i will suggest only do the on-page optimization at the beginning stage, then spend about 2~3months concentrate on the content developing. Then only go for the off-page optimization
you can target some important keywords based on your website, like florida news, florida events and more like this
If you want to optimize your news website for certain keywords then you have to do backlinking for those set of keywords.. Do offpage optimization to get better results.
The domain has been around since 2008, but I haven't really started do develop the site until recently.
Content is the king. Improve it first. If your content is good you are likely to get a lot of visitors by word of mouth. People will naturally link to your site.
