I disagree and Matt Cutts is a jerk. Here's why. The majority of results in Google are weighted by domain age and backlinks. These are things that will come to you in time. It doesn't happen over night. Now if you look at websites doing great in search engines they're also doing great in social media. The reason being is that they launched their social media campaigns from already popular websites. By adding weight to social media they're just keeping already popular websites popular. My philosophy is do great in search then do great in social media. Let's face it some niches don't do good in social media at all. For example weight loss, acai berries, and viagra. So you don't have to worry about having competitors doing good in SM. However for the people who are trying to get on the first page of niches that do do great in SM then you're going to have an already harder time.
Now-a-day, it is a trend to flourish business via web services, in coming 2011, the needs increase and to accomplish the tasks, he will have to create some unique ideas. SEO is very vast field and every one does it like it is own needs. In 2011, SEO treead will spread through out the world and it becomes the necessity of business man.
