SEO & Flash Websites

    I want to know that can SEO work on the websites having Flash animations.

    no matter how many articles talk about Flash SEO, Flash will always stay behind text pages on SEO point of view,

    Making Flash SEO friendly is not happening anytime soon. I personally don't like to put flash on any important sites.

    I agree with webcosmo, my clients always ask for Flash presentations or banners etc but I always avoid that by explaining why we should avoid it. Some clients understand and some does not but I would always avoid Flash on important sites! Flash & SEO does not get along well ;)

    It's not that bad. You can use flash for parts of your site; if you have a flash navigation, for example, make sure you put a text-based one somewhere (e.g. footer) - just an example.

    That's why I advise my client to have a website (in flash or whatever) for their namecards or corporate profile and another one (that I will work on :) ) for SEO.

    They have establish their brandname and their domain name must be quite old, but i can't understand how they get a good PR.

    I think the websites you mentioned are highly reputed brand names. People will go there is any ways, company do not have to do SEO. But most of us are not lucky like them. We have to work our ass off get on the first page of SERPs to get significant number of traffic.
    I have had chance to work with helly hansen. It was one of their promotional member only sites. And it was flash with ms sql for database access.
    I think 99.99% time these companies do not have any IDEA what SEO is. They think just having a website will make people flock to the site. And actually it do work for them. :)
