I have website on dentistry niche since last two years. Slowly it gained good pr and from last two months it was pr 3 website. . In last PR Update which was on 7th Jan something it got pr as n/a. I guess this might be due to because I shifted my website from blogger to new cpanel host at same time when PR was updating. I thought it as temporary problem but after almost 20 days the pr is n/a and my website is not in google index as it was before. Traffic reduced drastically. I checked if my website is banned or it is in sandbox but no. What should I do? In last week for 1 or 2 day it again got pr3 but again dropped.. Please help..
Hi abhiquik... I think, your question is not clear or you missed some point to clear out question.... you didn't say anything about your server that it was same or changed from before you used previously. if it was same then there is no problem in shifting, just consult to your server administrator and say "301 moved permanently". and if you changed your file or site architecture then you need to do some work around... And about your PR problem it will take more then 180 days to control your site from old domain... All the very best... Do well...
Do not worry your page rank of the site as well as indexed pages will be back but it will take time of 1 1/2 month. It is nomal thing that happen when you changed the platform from blogger to domain.
I mentioned that I shifted from custom blogger domain to cpanel host. Means previously I was using blogger/google dns and now some host nameservers. . Thanks all I think I should wait for some more days.
for seo create good backlinks which have quality contents and keywords and always work with good sites
If I am understanding you correctly, you had a blogger website before, which was really sucking off the blogger domain pagerank, then you changed over to your own domain ? First of all, every new domain starts out with pr=n/a (or zero), then it takes time (and backlinks) to build up the pagerank for the domain. Your old pagerank doesn't matter since it wasn't your domain, and because it wasn't your domain, you can't do a 301-redirect and redirect that pagerank to your new site. Therefore, like other posters have said above, if it's pagerank you are concerned about, build links from pages that have actual pagerank on them. However, in my opinion, you should be much more concerned about where you rank for your keywords than what your pagerank is. I'm outranking a lot of sites that have higher page rank than mine (and in some cases am outranked by sites with pr0). -Tony.
Yes, 301-redirects are done through .htaccess file on Apache web servers, and I can't see how you would get access to blogger.com's .htaccess file.
Bro its not like that I clearly mentioned that I had custom domain on blogger that is my owndomain.. www.magicaldentistry.com And this domain has pr since 2 years then drop to n/a Blogger was free but not customisable to good extent so I moved to cpanel host..
you need take care of your keywords and back links .... also if you are on shared hosting .. must get a dedicated IP Hope you go on top Soon
Your blog is in the Google search results, so that's a plus, you just need to keep blogging and adding content... also employ some plug ins for SEO purposes - to many to mention. I could help - but my advice and service doesn't come for free LoL.
I think you should create new backlinks for your site, some time after you will got your position in google again.
