Why would it not? There will be search engines, which means they will be using ranking algorithms to shape their results' pages, which means you can work on your site to conform their ranking standards - and that is SEO pretty much.

As long as Search Engines here, we SEOs survive. So there is no issue at all.

I think Matt Cutts is really just saying that yes SEO will still exist up to 5 years, I doubt he would like to make the judgement of saying that SEO will never die.

He just says they are working to devalue crap links. SEO will always exist as long as google rankings are controlled by a computer!

What's there to be concerned about? That's as positive in regards to SEO as I've ever seen Matt Cutts...if you find those statements in any way concerning check out what he was saying a couple of years ago

There is no way a SEO gonna die. As long as there are Search Engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask, SEO will last.

Matt Cutts wouldn't have a job if there was no SEO. I'm sure he has thought about that

so what do you think that after 5 years people will stop searching in search engines or hunting for some useful websites for their usage.
