    Hi,

I am new to SEO. As of now my site is getting good traffic even though I have poor backlinks. I just wondering submit my site to Digg.com will act as quality backlink? I dont want traffic from Digg, just backlink. I found almost 90% blogs in my niche has no-follow on comments. So social book marking will act as backlink or not?

heh, i don't think you will get so much traffic from digg, but assuming you will, why you don't need traffic from digg ? (is it some bad kind of traffic, or what?)

now coming back to our subject, yeah a link from digg.com it does count as a good backlink and it does help you get indexed faster by google, considering that google crawl digg somewhere 2-4 times a day

    all the best ! ;)

P.S. hope i've been on the subject

Yes, digg.com will give you a quality backlink and it is very useful in terms of backlinks, even if the digg.com itself does not drive traffic for you directly.

Associated Content is a quality backlink that will send you traffic. Write a few articles about your subject, use your site as a resource and place links accordingly.

I don't think link from Digg are dofollow. They are using redirects. So you will not get any link benefit but can use it to get your content index and for some quick traffic

Digg is dofollow and if you get a backlink from there, it is beneficial in google's view. I notice that you don't have much choice in getting related link from blog commenting, maybe you can expand your submitting to other dofollow social bookmark sites. Here is the list of high pr and high traffic social bookmark sites with dofollow and nofollow attribute for your reference.

Some good traffic methods if you can achieve this is to create some quality work on wikipedia. That will give you some solid link juice. Although you need to have some good content to get that approved. Another place would be yahoo/wiki answers.

Another place is the forum of your niche. You will find a lot of ways to link and build SEO. Yet it all lies in how informative you are in your content.

    Good Luck

Digg.com > today backlinks > tomorrow are not

Why all talking about social book you never know when your links will disappear even they are do follow or not.

Man make your own blog with your own links and maybe u will wait longer but it will be your blog or site with your links forever.

    Good luck

Every single one of you are looking at this all wrong!

Digg is a great place to get exposure for your content. If you happen to have good content and it makes the front page then thousands of people will see your content. Out of those thousands a small percentage will link to your content.

I have seen front page stories get anywhere from 20 links to over 2,000 links. This is the true power of Digg.

As far a using social bookmarking for SEO purposes, most every single link will be useless unless there are other links pointing to that social bookmark.

    Hope this helps!

Digg shouldn't be used for backlinks anymore.
You won't receive any juice from there.

Digg is a link but nothing that you should dwell on. There's plenty of other do follow sites that you can also submit your site to.
