Hopefully I have this thread in the right section. Hello, My name is Jarrod and I represent a company that is currently heavy into development and affiliate marketing. To put it short, we need a highly skilled SEO Expert to help us accomplish our goals. I know very little about SEO, but I feel as if I have done well with what knowledge I have. It's time to have a SEO Expert finish the job for us. The goals we need to achieve: 1.) We have one website that we have been trying to get to the top of google for some time now. We are currently #3 on google and want to get that #1 position bad. We also have a variety of other keywords in which we want to get #1 for. 2.) With this website, we advertise pretty heavy on Adwords and so we want to achieve #1 for certain keywords on Adwords. Buying links is key, campaigning with Adwords won't increase you position with that keyword, do you keywords have enough search volume ? I can bring you at #1 in Google even for competitive keyword. Regards Sumit
I Just want to say that if you are in competitive areas- going from 3rd place to first might take a long time and a lot a lot of money
I don't think he's not saying he thinks adwords can get your organic listing to #1. I think he's saying he wants the #1 position in adwords as well... And it is NOT just bidding more than everyone else. It now has a LOT to do with how you configure your campaigns and adgroups, the quality and relevance of your landing page to the search phrase, click-thru-rates, and the resulting adwords quality score. I can get number #1 adword position and pay substantially less per click than what the #2 guy pays if my quaility score is high enough. And I would question anyone who guarantees they can get you #1 placement.
You might want to post this on BST -> services section. There are a lot of qualified SEOs and adwords expert (both are different skills, so yo may not get best of both in same individual / company).

Canonical, you are right on the money. If anybody can recommend me to somebody capable of completing either of these jobs, please do let me know. I understand its going to take a lot of work and maybe some money, but I'm ready to do both. It is a competitive keyword, but I have the keyword.ca and so I have a strong advantage with that domain.
Premiumh if you own the keyword.ca domain and you say you are already in the top 3 you are probably having some issues with authority and/or maybe structure. You already know about SEO if it is a competitive keyword and you are already ranking so highly maybe you just need a few recommendations. In really competitive industries most times the difference between #1 and #3 is some simple on site tweaking. All first 20 results in really competitive industries have the capability of outranking each other with a few changes. More links, when you already have several thousands, won't be the only solution.
Going from an organic position of 3 to 1 may not be that hard as seosapien noted. Before digging deep in your wallet, keep what seosapien noted in mind. For your Adwords needs, certainly seek the services of an Adwords Qualified Individual or Adwords Qualified Company at a minimum. A full service SEO firm may be a better option for you since you have both PPC and organic SEO goals.
