not sure how I should have titled the post but anyways

I have a lot of questions about properly being indexed and not penalized by Google.

I run www.houseme.ca, which is a rental listing website, that is unique in sense of how to properly set things up for Google indexing etc.

houseme.ca has wild card subdomain setup so that CITYNAME.houseme.ca resolves a different community.
for example london.houseme.ca is specific for London Ontario, and edmonton.houseme.ca resolves to edmonton of course.
This is all setup and working, but for example each city will have its own listings so the proper url I should use in my internal linking as well as in the sitemaps I should use i assume would be

    http://london.houseme.ca/ListingDetails.aspx?ListingID=70

which really is the same page as

    http://www.houseme.ca/ListingDetails.aspx?ListingID=70
    http://houseme.ca/ListingDetails.aspx?ListingID=70

So which of the above 2 is more correct in sense that it will please Google more.

Next question relates to how to generate the url for each of the listings, for example

    http://london.houseme.ca/ListingDetails.aspx?ListingID=70

the ListingDetails.aspx is used for all listings, the querystring changes the content of the page based on the listingID of course, now this is fine of course but would it be any better if i have it as

    http://london.houseme.ca/listingdetails/70/some_descriptive_address_of_the_listing

Should i do the url with description in sitemaps and do a 301 to the id based url? this seems like a bad idea but someone might have a different opinion

If i do the latter, the original one will also exist and could get penalized for having 2 different urls that point to the same content.

Next question relates to common pages that are "shared" by all communities, for example,
http://www.houseme.ca/register.aspx is a global page that will be used for people to register on the site, should i be linking to this page as http://london.houseme.ca/register.aspx from all the London related pages or would linking to http://www.houseme.ca/register.aspx or http://houseme.ca/register.aspx

I have about 6 pages that are common among all the communities so I want to make sure I am linking properly.

Next question is for generating sitemaps, should i be creating a giant single sitemap (with different community based urls as stated in the first question) or do one for each community (this will be lot of work as the number of communities grows automatically as i fill more listings in)

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you
