    I'm curious about this, why is this so?

    I’ve heard that duplicate content can hurt your SEO rankings. But I’m writing fresh original articles and distributing them.

    I’m thinking of sending out one version of my articles, and having another version on my blog. The question is: How much difference should there be? Is a different title enough? Is a different first paragraph enough? Or what?

    IMHO you should use a different page on your blog that you use for article submission.
    Use copyscape to text for uniqueness, if doesn’t trip the filter you are ok.
