SEO Experiment about Estimation of Traffic

Most of us have been working since a long time to achieve rankings for various keywords. And we will keep on working on various ways to get our websites ranked on Search Engines.

Please do not ignore, it might help most of us to estimate the correct traffic numbers.

I recently asked in a thread about the estimated search figures from various keyword suggestion tools and the actual data.

Am now looking for help from all the SEO professionals.

Can you share some of your experiences in the following format so that others are having a better idea of how things work

    Keyword
    Rank on Google
    Site URL
Daily Traffic you get for that keyword

I can understand that there might be some people who will not be intrested in sharing this data about their niche and their keyword. If they feel like, they can even send me the data in PM, privacy guaranteed. I will publish the results after 15 days, if the response to this thread is good enough to conclude some facts.

One more request to moderators, please do not throw this thread into keywords forum, it will die there . I am expecting some good support from members at DP

    Thanks for your time. :)

    hmmm...

From what I've read here at DP,

Keywords are always important - especially when anchored well
PR - dying - but I could be wrong - but again, it would explain why a PR3 site would out rank a PR6 site
Site URL - when searching for "gogo mama hot chick" having the URL http://www.gogomamahotchick would be a bonus - but it won't gaurantee anything especially if it's a poorly seo'd/designed site.

don't know what you're asking about the last one.

Hope this helps - but again, only an opinion - not a science.

Anybody else have anything to add?

    Hi K Man
I was asking for people to tell their keywords for which they rank well.
and then, if they could share how much daily traffic they gained from those keywords.

I think you hit it right on the head when you said "I can understand that there might be some people who will not be intrested in sharing this data about their niche and their keyword."

I doubt many if any people will tell you that kind of information. :(

Best way imo to get estimation of traffic is to multiply 4.25 with overture search count and then measuring % basing on ranking in serp.

It isn't like I don't want to share, but golly - I have 1,000s of keywords... To really gain any meaningful knowledge, you have to get a much more comprehensive picture of what is going on and I don't think you can do that with a couple of keywords. Not to mention the bias search engines have depending on the users.

If you are ranked #1 for webmaster related keywords, you will get from Yahoo+MSN+Google half of the searches reported by Overture :)

thanks for telling that you have thousands of keywords ranking, but i think just with doing a comprehensive test of 30 keywords, one can predict a lot about these tools.

of course, lot of factors will be considered.
clicks also depend on the sector one is in and how many repeat searches are done.

but :( no one has so far shared any data, so i dont think this can work well.
