Hi everyone, I just finished writing a blog post on how the search engines use empirical and historical data to determine quality of websites and blogs that they index for search engine rankings. The post explains how this data (aka information) they have collected, is used to form a baseline about every niche or category that a website or blog would fall under. By using data they can tell who is trying to spam a website by link bombing, suddenly for example. Or they can determine when a webmaster is using artifical methods to obtain links to their sites or blogs. Please click the link next to my avatar to read the full posting, it's long but I think it will teach you something or at least give some food for thought!! Err that's not the one... please follow this link http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/internetmarketingupdate/seo-historical-empirical-data-usage/51/ Comments appreciated.
