    Hi Guys,

I've been reading the SEO Made Easy book by Brad Callen recently and I am quite interested in purchasing the SEO Elite software. Has anyone any horror stories or is the software an essential purchase??

    Thanks,

    Theresa x

No horror stories. It's not a "fire and forget" tool and needs alot of time to learn to use it's full potential, the video tutorial is several hours long.

You don't need SEO Elite to master SEO or get good results

    Hi there,

I work for many clients and I was looking to use the SEO software tool to look at Off page SEO (Links, PR Info etc). If i were to go through all my clients and do this manually - surely this would take me an eternity?
    Thoughts????

Theresa, I have read SEO Made Easy also, it is definitely first class info. I would also highly recommend the SEO ebook funnily enough called "SEObook" by Aaron Wall.

With regards to SEO Elite, I believe it is a decent package but I think you can get most of the info in it quick and free via other internet sites.

There is absolutely no need for SEO tools. Once you master a few essential strategies you can most likely do it on your own (if you have the time and financial resources).

SEO is like marketing and marketing has a rule: you get what you pay for.

As someone already pointed out there's lots of great resources you can use for free.

A great free tool is the search status extension for Mozilla, but you can also find loads of tools at webconfs.com/

The SEO Elite software has become outdated and needs a real upgrade before I recommend it to anyone....As a couple people already said....you don't need any seo tool..

The Book is a great sales tool for the product, but the product needs an upgrade.

I used it several months ago and at that time it was a good tool to have and did shorten a lot of task that would take longer without it. However as others have stated it is outdated and does need an upgrade to be useful again.

i own this software along with ibp 9. for what you want to do with the tool it would be perfect. It would be well worth buying for use on your clients sites, and it will save you a heap of time as checking multiple sites via the free seo tools out there is unrealistic why spend hours when with seo elite you could do it in minutes

yea, it will definitely save you alot of time. Of course you can do everything you need manually, but having a software like this allows you to figure out your competitors' link portfolio instantly. Besides, how are you going to save the link data and organize them if you don't have a software like SEOelite or ibp? Are you going to bookmark them? copy and paste them into a notepad?

I am not a SEO expert like many of you guys are, and I only have 3-4 hours a day to maintain my website + upload articles from my copywriters + SEO myself + outsource SEO..... Having a tool like this do save me a lot of time.

It is all about the opportunity cost. If the tool can save you 10 hours of work in finding and organizing links, there is no reason why you shouldn't get a software like this. I have tried SEOelite, ibp and link assistant, and I love using SEOelite most in finding backlinks to my competitors' site (because it works fastest). But if you want just ONE software to handle all the SEO work for you (finding link, submission, keep track of link exchange), I would recommend ibp, even though it is running pretty slow.

theresa, since i know you projects and i can tell you, no need to buy this soft for now, concentrate on getting quality backlinks for your new website (with your targeted keywords in the Search engines as anchor text).

This tool is good when you have an etablished website, for new websites its better to invest the money in Marketing, Content and Backlinks.

To check on backlinks, PR, etc. I would highly recommend SEO Spyglass vs SEO Elite. The best feature on SEO Spyglass is that it will show you the actual PR of the page linking back to you and not just the domain (which is usually higher and can be very deceptive). SEO Spyglass is also less expensive. I have both packages and do not work for either company....:)
