    hello,

i did some white hat SEO (increasing the amount of times my website says a keyword) and it made me drop 350 search results in Yahoo. its a new site (1 1/2 months old)and i only rank with one keyword in google (largemouth+tips) and it managed to drop 1 search result after google picked up the change.

what the heck did i do wrong???

the site is Largemouth Bass Fishing Tips Online

You have to actively participate in link building campaign and drop for a keyword or couple of keywords in search engines are usual thing. You will get back soon. :)

    i added link keywords
    i added body keywords
    i add an H1 header
i changed the alt tag on my logo

im trying to get links inbound but its not easy. ive got
    7 in yahoo,
    28 in msn, and
    0 in google.

i keep waiting for a turning point in this site. I had a smilar site (much worse looking, and less information) back in 1999-2001 and it got an easy 500 uniques per day. I dont know if i can get 500 uniqes/day with my new site even though it looks much better, and it has more information.

Submit your site to directories with decent PR and possibly even consider buying a few links from high PR sites.

Google loves old domains. So getting traffic for an old domain is ten times easier than for a new one. It gets so bad that some people don't even bother with a new site.

Fixing up the old site might just be a better idea.

If you want to help your new domain put a link to your new site on your old site's homepage, submit to the dmoz and you might want to pay for a yahoo directory listing.

I'd also consider signing up for linkmarket.net. I've used both linkmetro and linkmarket.net and both of them don't give you a whole lot of relevant links. The best you can get is links from your general category but it's better than sending out link exchange requests via e-mail.

For example with fishing tips you could get a few links from other fishing sites and a lot of links from sites in the Sports and recreation categories.

You will get a lot of links by paying for their service but It probably won't help you get any more traffic right away.

this is an issue i am trying to correct today with 301 redirects.

if anyone can make up a quick htaccess code for me that would help a lot. someone made one up for me that points http://largemouthbasstips.com to http://www.largemouthbasstips.com/index.php

id like a code that redirects ALL to www.largemouthbasstips.com
    or http://largemouthbasstips.com

www or Non-WWW it doesnt matter to me
