Hi, just wondering has the length of time your domain is registered have an effect on SERP and does google look at this. i.e. - paid for one year - should i have bought domain for 5 years would this add value to SERP or page ranking algorithm. Kind Regards Fergal.
That should have no SEO effect. The only thing with domain length would be how long the domain has been registered overall. Example: A domain that was registered 6 month prior to launch may have a bit jump above a competitor. A website that has been online for 5 years will generally have a jump on his competitors. But it does not matter if you register for 1 year of 10 years.
I have a little experience. A domain name plays a role if it includes keywords. Domain better register longer. It is written in whois and google it sees ;-)
the main thing in domain is that it should be easy to remember........It is good to have short domain...if domain is old then that is very good......
Exactly !!! and there are not so much important give by google to title. so make it as much simple as you can.
