I wanted to get peoples opinions on the following:

When choosing a domain name, is it more SE friendly to use a hyphen ( - ) when seperating two words or simply sticking the two words together with no seperation. ie:

    www.my-site.com
    or
    www.mysite.com

Does anyone know if either has any SE disadvantages? Any variations between SEs?

    thx

Its better to use - www.mysite.com

This can also help your users to remember and type.

I agree that no hyphen urls are easier to type for returning visitors. I would expect SEs to prefer no use of hyphens. Does anyone have any reliable sources on this topic?

Its so important to get the domain name perfect for your site.
