Hi, I tried to target a competitive keyword, and now my site ranks #8 - #12 (not stable) for that keyword. Should I continue to do SEO by myself, or I'd better hire a SEOer, and let him do it?
This really depends; usually if you were able to achieve the rankings you have now then there is no unconceivable reason why you couldn't get #1 on your own.
if you can do it yourself properly, then that would be the best course of action. this way you don't have to risk dealing with so called SEO experts who often post on this forum asking how to SEO. if you would rather want the professionals do it for you or simply dont have the time to do it yourself, then you can outsource. do a little research before you outsource to make sure you are hiring someone or some company who know what they are doing
It depends on money, I do all my seo work myself, I do it full time and I am pretty damn good now, so I have started doing no win no fee to other people, but I charge alot, because the job has to be done properly. If you are prepared to pay a good rate to the right person, do it... if you are going to go with someone cheap that will get you 900,000 links for 29 dollars, then carry on yourself. The people on here advertising, do so because they need work... the real good guys, dont need to advertise, we get referrals.
Personally I like doing SEO work, it's a fun challenging "game", much more dynamic and detailed and in-depth than any computer game ever made
If your are keywords rankings are not stable then do one thing write article and use these keywords in author bio and publish it twice in a week. your keywords will be start for stabling in some couple of days. i dont think so for that you need to hire any seo. article submission doesnt take much time of urs.
yeah, quite a known scenario for any SEO It happens, but what i have seen from my experience, dont do anything silly, just keep doing what you have been doing but with a little bit of acceleration, since generally websites on top 10 will have huge backlinks pointing against them and building daily, and wait......it's a long wait but useful
ya sure. I mean to say is publish article two times in a week. (Submit 2 Articles in a week at article directories), Due to article syndication you'll get backlinks which will help you to stable on serp on particular keyword.
I guess you should continue working on SEO by yourself for some mre days.. see if PR has been improved then if nothing changes .. outsource it to some professional..
If you have much time to work & analyze your site - then you are the best choice to do SEO for your site, because you only know much about your website & visitors. # but be wise before taking this taking decision - do you really have enough knowledge about SEO? # do u have time? # if u are not ready to give your website to someone's hand - better get more knowledge about SEO before starting any process in your website..

Do it yourself. It's always smarter. You don't have to pay big money. You learn hwo to do it yourself and what are the best ways. You can later sell your services in SEO to others and you won't get scammed by anyone saying they'll get you to number one and then they don't deliver.
if you have time, do it yourself. but outsourcing is a good idea though provided that you hire an experienced seo-er
I'd keep doing work on it myself. See how that goes over time. If it doesn't improve and you don't have the time, then hire someone to do the SEO for you.
I would say do both. If you have the money hire someone to help/teach you. I'm glad I learned how to do this on my own.
A lot of the information you need to do your own SEO is already out there, if you're getting #8-#12 so far then I'd definitely stick to doing it yourself - do some research, write up a plan and see where that gets you. Hiring someone to do SEO is tricky if you don't know someone who has had a lot of success - some people who have been in the field a while are more focused on old techniques which aren't as much use. Learning as you go along means you stay on top of the new changes and are flexible.
