Hey guys, I'm listing myself in directories to improve PR. I've bumped into some option "Featured (5 additional links)" which costs 25% more. Can you please tell me what are those additional links? and how can they help me? Thanks!
Deep links are links to any page other than your home page. Overall it is usually easier to get backlinks for your homepage (especially with directories). Some say that if all your backlinks are to the same, ie main index, page of your site it doesnt look natural. Also you want to get traffic and PR for your sites inner pages. Anytime you get a chance to get a good deep link go for it. BUT be careful with the directories that offer this option. Where will the extra links be? If they are on the page along with your listing it is cool. But if they are on a seperate 'details' page that isnt unique it may not be so good.
With lot of changes with Google, many saying that paid links will not work. I don't know the truth. But I spend my time better off on link building now.
Just try to get your links for free. Paid links has no assurance of good SERP. At least you won't be disappointed if you don't get better ranking because you don't pay for your links. You can improved your SERP without buying links.
