SEO DEAD - according to Google!

    Watch the video! First, Bruce Clay did NOT say "SEO is dead." He said "ranking is dead." Due to personalized searches, he says that ranking takes on less importance and that analytics takes on increased importance. He goes on to talk about the new challenges SEO will face. Clearly, he is talking about a changing role for SEO, but not its death.

    Also, he says that Google has increased its variables to 200 from 128 (not reduced them from 1200 to 200). He goes on to discuss what some of those new 72 variables might be (the presence of video and flash, for example). He then mentions that linking will play a somewhat diminished role, simply due to the fact that it is now only one of 200 (versus one of 128) variables.

    Whether you agree or disagree with some of his points, the video is worth the 10 minutes it takes to watch it.
