SEO Costs?

I know very little about SEO. I have a site about two weeks old I made myself. I'm hoping to start SEO and was wondering costs on it. If I pay someone what is a likely monthly cost? I don't know how to find out how competitive targeted keywords are, but am assuming that will play a big part. I don't know what information you might need to give me a ballpark answer, so if you need anything just ask. If you are interested in working with me you can send me a PM.

    My site is: xenonsglobal.com

    Thanks for any help!

It could be anywhere from $500/mo-$2,000/mo. It depends on who you hire and most importantly the strategy involved to get your site to the top. Be very careful about who you hire and don't work with anyone who can't provide you examples of previous work and success stories.

Same as above. Ask for specific examples of the SEO's earlier work. Don't work with an SEO that hasn't proven their skills in the sector that your site is in.

How can they prove their success? I should ask for references I can contact? I am mostly concerned with staying out of trouble rather than launching an SEO campaign. Basic would be a start for me. I don't even have all my pages finished, I've been doing everything myself, and that workload is stacked along with re-doing my eBay auction descriptions to increase ratings on eBay. 4.8 stars just won't do haha. I've done a lot of reading, and the more I read the more overwhelming it seems, which is why I'd like to start with a basic, stay out of trouble campaign if you will. I posted a thread earlier in the week about whether or not it is a good idea to have 1 page dedicated to my xenon lights to drive all the traffic to the same page, hoping to increase it's ranking success, or to have 4 separate pages, 1 for each color. I was afraid of getting a negative rank for having similar keywords on each page, similar being xenon headlights / fog lights, and after responses decided it would be best to use 1 page, but after reading the sticky thread "all you need to know about SEO" (which i'm still currently reading) I think it may be a better idea to have the 4 separate dedicated pages to target the keywords, and it shouldn't hurt ranking because Google ranks pages, not sites right?

Edit: Forgot to say thanks, so Thank you!

You can hire some SEO Professional on odesk website. You can check their experience and portfolio. There you have option to contract $4 to $ 10 per hours. you can find which will fit to you pocket.
