How come that every forum I go to that talks about seo they always say the same things to build links write articles to get good content links and the on site stuff etc. well my question is If everyone does that they will get certain results but how do the big companys that go on the internet and day 1 there getting tons and tons of traffic. Where do they get there traffic from and how are they #1 ranked in search engines so fast i'm sure they didn't wait for a year or sat there submitting to directories all day long. How did they do it?
Some luck, and alot of hard work that you didn't know that took place, some black/gray hat, low competition arenas, etc... I see you are try to rank in the Real Estate catogory. Better get ready for the long haul. That will be a tough nut to crack. Good luck though, not trying to discourage you though. I checked your sites in your sig, they go to a parking page of some sort. Are there other sites you have as well? Off topic, what is that domain parking page you have on your sites? I see that one quite a bit, but dont know where it comes from.. Is it Sedo or something? they don't just get there traffic from link building, and articles... they create their own reputation.. quality services and other stuff... that can be known by many internet user... it usually takes alot time...
No that was a website I had a long time ago when I used to have websites but I just came back on refreshing my memory on this stuff. I don't have that real estate website anymore. Any ways I still don't have a clear idea on how they do it. I mean I see lots of people on these forums some doing well some not but big companys that barely go online have no trouble making it they never end up in the "sandbox" they never have any problems having a good pr etc. What exactly do they do, do they just spend alot of money or do they have special techniques or what? And I mean companys like bestbuy, compusa, etc.
public relations...spending tens of thousands to get featured on major sites like Forbes, Wall Street Journal, CNN, etc.
So basically what they do to get up in rankings extremely fast is pay lots and lots of money to get on big named sites and have articles written on it etc?
yes...money is everything. We have competitors that have done this, and their web statistics are so far and above ours that we'll basically never catch up.
