SEO Bookmarking

Somebody say that bookmarking is dead now.I think high PR bookmarking site is very helpful for indexing..

 

Personally I think it is dead. Even a few years ago when it was supposed to work well, I never really found that it helped my rankings all that much. It did help somewhat with traffic though.

 

Bookmarking is not totally dead. It is good tool of off page SEO to promote website. Yes Bookmarking is very helpful for PR indexing.

i don't know who told you that bookmaking is dead now actualy smart and quality work never died.. so you can do only smart and quality work don't focus on quantity because quality is better than quantity..

 

Just build high PR bookmarking back links (more than PR5) and see the ranking position, really you will get in a good position.

 

SEO is dead, Bookmarking is dead, Internet Marketing is dead etc.
Many had already died (RIP) and many more to come,

To tell you the truth, nothing's dead. It is just that there are some changes that we need to adapt.
And for some who can't adapt to those changes consider strategies this strategies, dead.

You don't need a bookmarking site for indexing. If you want lightning-fast indexing, then (1) submit your new page or new website's home page to Webmaster Tools > Crawl > Fetch As Google, and (2) post the link with some short, well-written copy, on your Google+ profile. I'm often crawled and indexed within 5 minutes that way.

Yes, What he said is exactly true. Due to high usage, it became less effective and sometimes they may go spam

You just need to actually engage to get positive results.

 

Well, Yes SEO Bookmarking Dead and what is the need of Bookmarking when Google is doing the work for you! Just hit on to your webmaster tool, go to the crawl and use the option "Fetch as Google" that's all your done. Other than building links in the various directories ... well craps such a waste of quality time.

 

I still feel that top and quality Social Bookmarking sites will help us some how in our Search Engine Optimization campaign.

Yes, I totally agree with you! It's not dead. It's a good and an EASY way to get some good dofollow and nofollow backlinks from sites with Average and High Authority! Don't forget that they could also help you index your websites fast!

 

It's unusual that Google's algorithm changes render certain SEO methods 100% "dead." For example, Google has obviously devalued the thousands (millions?) of worthless directories out there. But I highly doubt that they have devalued, for example, Yahoo!'s directory or DMOZ. Similarly, it seems that they have devalued the multitude of worthless social bookmarking sites. But I'm pretty confident they haven't devalued them all. There are still high-value ones such as reddit and a few others. Be careful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
