The following article will review SEO Books Keyword Research Tool and it will also question how Google Insight's charts should be read. Be prepared to gain much knowledge from this topic from not only myself, but the one's who contribute. SEO Book Keyword Research Review If any of you have heard of SEO Book's Keyword Research tool and or have any experience with the tool, then you probably already know that it flat out sucks. If you don't know what SEO Book is or what it's supposed to do, then let me tell you before you read any further. Like any other keyword research tool, SEO Book was created for the basics. Generating keyword ideas, telling you how many searches are performed on the word you're researching, and also informing you on how much competition your keyword or keyword phrase has. When you get to the main page of the site, you're introduced with a simple interface which is practically similar to any other search page. In the search, you type in your specific keyword or keyword phrase. On the results page, if you come up with any results that is, you'll be greeted with a user friendly chart. This all sounds great so far. I mean, a great interface and a user friendly chart. Awesome. Not to mention the fact that SEO Book's Keyword Research Tool is easy to use. Yeah. Easy. After gathering your data from SEO Book and putting hours and hours on end to your perfect article or site, you'll find that the data SEO Books so called, "Keyword Tool" spit you, is far from accurate. What? SEO Book said that if you're number one on Google you'd get 500 views a day for the keyword phrase, "Joe Shmow?" Too bad you look at your analytics only to find you're not even getting half of that. Heck. You may not be getting a hundredth of that. Maybe you were the lucky one. Maybe SEO Book said you were to only receive 40 views a day, but instead you're receiving 1000. My point is this. SEO Book's Keyword Research Tool is useless. Frankly, it's better to simply think about what users would type in to Google to come up with your own keywords. And then, simply search Google to see if there's any competition for the phrase you came up with. Google Insights - Next Generation of Keyword Popularity? I recently began using Google Insights. Another program that seems to be much more accurate then anything else on the web. My only problem is this. I am confused by the program. 1) What does the "Interest Chart" represent? 2) Why do the numbers only go up to 100? 3) If one keyword phrase is maxed out on the chart and so is another phrase, does that mean each phrase will bring in the same amount of traffic? I don't know much about Google Insights. It'd be cool to see an 'expert' or at least someone of more knowledge than myself here to explain the program. Keyword Research is Important As you all may or may not know, keyword research can make or break your website. Is your domain www.hubblybubblyhoosh.com? If so, you should have done your research.
