Does anyone have any experience of old domain names, that have been simply parked for 3-4 years, benefitting SEO when they are bought and developed?

I have a few old domains, yes they certainly carry a lot of value.
I have bought 4 pre-2000 domains this week.

For me I prefer them to have had history in archive.org, some old backlinks, a little PR and possibly things like a listing in yahoo directory, all of that makes for a valueable domain.

Thanks scott, but I'm well aware of the value of developed or even slightly developed names - and congrats for snapping up those antiques :). But I'm talking about 3-4 year old names with 0 PR, never had but a parking page, no BLs.

i don't think undeveloped domains are of any value.
age is only a factor for developed domains.
if the domains has no history then it is worthless.
i also have a six year old domain but its no value.
