Hey guys. I'm about to attempt to embark on a career as an seo analyst. I've been reading alot of blogs and doing lots of research. I took a course on sem and got a certificate but i'm not to sure how this whole thing is gonna play out. Can you guys help me a little? I'm kind of lost as to where to start as far as a job concerns. I have a pretty decent knowledge and understanding of seo but I don't really know how to put that knowledge to use. For example, what would be expected of me as an seo analyst? What kind of metrics would I need to report and as far as content strategy goes would I have to write most of the content or does another team do that? I feel like my job would be based on reporting metrics, explaining the metrics, suggesting content strategy and link building strategy, actually performing link building, analyzing site errors and suggesting ways of improvement and etc along that line. Please add to the list if there's anything I left out. Any guidance would be great. Thanks in advance.
