Let's say that you provide a SEO service to a certain company. Let's say that this company is in real estate and you try to rank the company's website rank within the top 10 for the keyword "Buy a house in [the name of a city]". Let's say you realize that, after three months, you don't have the ability to complete the task. You already received a part of the payment. What would you do? Do you have a SEO backup plan?
My Dear Friend First thing is that unless you are sure how can you say that you will bring in top ten in google. You are not the google guy. Off course it is possible definitely but is it possible by you ? Have you ever brought any site to top ? If not then you cann't. Ok whatever but now you can do it forget the amount which you have claim from company and if company force you to pay the amount which they paid then told them you have tried too much and was confident of result but there was too much competition for this word so it is not possible for you to continue. Finally if you are sure to bring them top then tell them that if you really want to bring top then either you have to pay more and wait for long time and that's fact. Depends on what your contract states.... I would be giving them their money back and apolgize like hell if I were you/them...
I would explain my self then give back the money and start internalizing the things that went wrong and move on, so by next time if you'll have another transactions then you know what to do. simple as that..
