I believe that as long as we have websites and search engines we will need SEM professional. The level playing field will change as and when search engines evolve but still be very much there. Search engines are bound to get smarter, but I don't see them acquiring human intelligence in the near future. So in essence they still would use indicators to rank websites and we are ones who would ensure that websites have all of these indicators featured to rank high.
In upcoming days internet will be the best source for any product. And sites will be increase then only SEO expert will be able to promote the sites.

I think there are those SEO experts who add SEO to their other services, like web design etc. I'm doing the same. They aren't making money as an SEO expert, just adding to their repertoire.
