seobook plugin is good but way tooo heavy for me

 

The seo tools i prefer includes firefox addon seoquake, seo for firefox and firefox addon search status.

Nice list, I use maybe only 10 of the whole list

 

I would add Google itself with its tricky smart operators ('cache', 'site', 'index', 'inTitle' and so on).

Before starting to do anything first I check if a page is cached on Google, indexed on Google, how many pages does Google see from the given section, what's the Google SERP position for the exact title (this way you can tell pretty easy if a site has been banned or if it is not well-optimized).

 

i think plugin tool is always be the best one.
