We all know that sites with regularly updated and good content is preferred by search engines. I am running a static site. How can I show updated content to my users. Apart from RSS feeds of other sites, can u suggest something. Does RSS feeds of other sites would effect my sites freshness? Pl reply.
By "static site" you mean that you're not adding any new content to it? If that is the case then yes, you could be losing some advantage. Consider adding a "News" section, maybe add like 1 entry / week, that will help. Static sites tend to be crawled less often.
Maybe you can try just to change something in your website. And that would look like a new content to search engines.
Frequent content updates will surely love by SEs...But as you say static and how can you update contents to users? Can you elaborate it? Its a bit confusing?
Well, i agree to most of it, except the part that you could be losing some advantage, i say, you dont lose much advantage, if your site is good and generating backlinks then content can be refreshed something like in a month or two and u will find it holding onto or sometimes even improving on the positions
