I'm trying to optimize a website, i've built up a lot of backlinks which has made the website take up PR2, my question is what really is SEO? Is it just building up a lot of backlinks or is it quality material. I know its both but what if i don't have good quality material inside the website, can i still submit it to a few hundred directories and get a good pr?
What do you mean when you say "quality material"? Your content? If so then you need decent content to make money from adsense or affiliate marketing,why to focus on getting visitors if they will stay a few seconds if your content is crap.....remember content is the king.
SEO and PR are 2 diffrent things and in my opinion PR is useless ... Backlinks are like the most important thing in seo but doesn't men seo there are many other things content on site optimization and other other ...
SEO consists of onpage and offpage optimization. It's a combination of linkbuilding and creating good content. These are the main factors to get higher PR and ranking. If one is not done properly, your campaign won't be successful.
