SEO and multiple domain names

    Hello
    I am about to create a new website for gamers.
    Its content is a content management and forums system.
    I have registered 3 domain names for this one site
    ie. mysitedomain.co.uk / my-site-domain.co.uk / my-site-domain.net

    My server has a UK ip and located in germany. My site is mainly for europe but global is not a problem.

    I registered the 3 domains as I wanted to capture them, and believed that having the 3 variations would some how help me with its google optimisation.
    (correct me if I am wrong).

    My question surround this best use of these three domain names to help my site appear high on a google search of relevance to my site.

    What should I do ?
    My intention was to use the my-site-domain.net as the main web site and then cretae a forwarding page on the other two which automatically forwards you to the main site, and prevents an google spidering of these two sites.
    Is this the right thing to do ?

    Additionally to improve seo and allow me some flexibility with the home page I was thinking of creating a home page in html/css and then putting the CMS system in a directory below it. That way I could fully optimise my home page. However I am worried that putting the main content (CMS) in a subdirectory or even in the root directory would reduce the sites overal SEO.

    You suggestions and guidance would be appriciated

    This is what I learned from Google blog itself.

    A .uk, .de, or .pl domain ending will tell Google that the content of this website is more suitable for those countries.

    But a .com ending will signal to Google that the content of the site is suitable for any country in the world.

    My advice: choose .com over .co.uk or .eu

    That was a very bad idea. I would have focused on one site for this project. If you can set up multiple hosting accounts, then you can have the other sites have their own homepage, with some keyword-rich content, and link the main site from these two.
    A simple redirect or parking would not be of any real use in your situation, and you might even have to deal with duplicate content issues.

    Hi
    I can set up multiple sites. Although they would all be on my own web server which has just one IP. My intention was to do it this with just a single no content redirect index page on the other two sites.

    If it appears there is no point in the other 2 domain names then i will just utilise one of them. ?

    My other question concerned the advantages of the CMS sitting under an optimised HTML index page ?

    Thank you for your answer.

    is there any difference in terms of seo between my-site-domain.net and mysitedomain.net.
    Personally I prefer the readability of my-site-domain.net

    .com will help you to get classified in the all google searches... .co.uk also will be indexed but is need to do more hard work, compared with general domain names.

    well I think :

    com = company
    net = network
    org = organization
    info = information

    I think it`s on that way
    Thanks!

    301 redirecting your secondary domain names to the main domain is what I'd go with.

    My preference is mydomain over my-domain, as I heard domain names without dashes do slightly better on Google.

    I prefer mydomain as well, at least for two keyword domains, so keyword1keyword2 instead of keyword1-keyword2, but using keyword1-keyword2x (x being a random letter) seems to have no disadvantages over keyword1keyword2. A little strange, but I witnessed this several times.

    OK great - so concerning SEO and google there will be no difference between domain names
    keyword1-keyword2-keyword3.com and keyword1keyword2keyword3.com ??

    It just comes down to readability, presentation and the ability to say it :)
