I have a hostgator hosting account that has unlimited domain support. I have a primary domain name which is www.red-shoes.com (not really my domain but we will use it for this question)

Okay...so on the hosting whenever you add a new domain name the domain is then created a sub folder on the server. So if I added the domain name Dogs.com it would be in the /dog directory off the root. Resulting in www.red-shoes.com/dog

Now... let's say I setup dog.com on the hosting account I've installed Google Analytics and I let dog sit for awhile with only relevent links pointing to it. I check google analytics and see that dog.com has pull some keyword traffic through "Red shoes" related keywords. How is this happening? Does google know that dog.com is on the same hosting account as red-shoes.com?

    Thanks
