What are the importance of each of these factors... 1. number of sites linking to you 2. number of sites with high PR linking to you 3. number of sites with high PR with same keywords as you linking to you 4. keyword optimization on your pages 5. amount of traffic your site is getting what are the other basic factors that I didn't include?
Proximity of the text near the Inbound links, the same text over and over can cause dupes and have the links discounted. DaveN
Questions 1-3 are all related to links. The answer is relevant links are given higher value, but all links help (some more, some less). Question 4 relates to content. The more content you have, the more visitors you will get.
I want to clear one thing here. Getting good traffic will not help you in SERP. SERP is equals to relevant site linking to you and quality content.
#3 should be at least tied with #'s 1 & 2 in importance. Relevant sites with high PR (not necessarily Toolbar PR BTW) is pretty near the top of the importance list. Overall, eveything except traffic weighs in pretty heavily. Best Eric
