SEO and GEO Target

I have a site www.ahmedabadhousing.com......It ranks well in google.com but not in top 100 for google.co.in(pages from India)... It also ranks well for google.co.in (the web)...I have also changed the target country to India in the webmasters tool...but no effect seen...Please let me know how to do?

 

it ranks well then there might be a good compition in india for this term you were searching for and you have to build some links for that.

 

no u right, google is now geo target, for ex. some of my site shows first page rank in google.com in india but when someone search in usa, google.com its not shown in top 10 page even. can help some one in that ?

 

I tried changing GEO target to India in webmasters tool but no result yet ??? Any1 out there please let me know the solution for it???

 

do this: leave the main site for global or whatever it was b4, make a subdomain called in.site.com, do an xml sitemap and do the wbc verification, then get some high quality .in links and link the subdomain from the home as well as get some high pr .in links....should be top 10 within 8 weeks.

 

I think you need to be linked in some Indian site also include some Indian writing in the site !

Well, I think Google rank for all countries is not same. if you are top on google.com its not mean you will also top on google.us or google.ca .

 

I think that if you use the seo, maybe you will get pushed.

 

when did you do this? we set it to UK on our site 5 months ago and it now mostly ranks much better in the UK than the US.

and you should start seeing results on the "pages from India" search quite quickly..
