I searched the forum but couldnt find an answer :(

I have several dir's on my site for different tools, but whats the best way to link to them, SEO Wise?

    E.g.
I have a folder called "backlink-checker" for obvious reasons, but which is better...

    <a href="backlink-checker/index.php">Backlink Checking Tool</a>
    or
    <a href="backlink-checker/">Backlink Checking Tool</a>

and does it make a huge difference?
as i will have a large ammount of these links, I think it will matter

As long as you use the right anchor text I think that either one would be fine.

I agree. There is a linkfilter with Google, so keep things the way that you are doing them.

1st one I think, to link to them SEO wise you must use your keyword as an anchor text
