I have about 30 domains that are hand coded. I have long been considering going towards CMS, but am leery due to SEO considerations. I guess one of my sticking points is when i do my own searches for info on various subjects, I rarely come across sites that are CMS. My question is, do you feel it is a good move at this time? Can CMS be effectivly used? and is there a clear best choice of CMS that is best for SEO (yet is robust with features and ease of use) Thanks
I don't see any problem with CMS, Ask direct question and we'll answer you, Best Choice is Wordpress, you can almost do everything with it. really very cool
Yes, you should move to CMS, atleast start using wordpress if not drupal/joomla. hand coding is fine upto a limit but thse cms's have loads of addons and why reinvent the wheel ? also these cms's are supposed to more secure and tested then hand coded websites
Wordpress is the best in terms of SEO but not sure if it could be called "CMS" actually. Wordpress has a much flexible of permalink structure and some great plugins such as All-in-one-SEO that would help you a lot. Joomla/Mambo has some plugins helping them to be more seo friendly too but I would recommend Drupal over them of course.
