Original content is the key. Just dumping a lot of worthless or duplicate content is not the answer to creating original content. If you have have thought of this, I am sure others have done it too. No one knows for sure how Google is going to view is this tactic, but I would stay away from it.

The purpose of blog is give people original content to read, not to trick Google for SEO purpose. If your blog really connects with readers, you will get a lot of free links as a reward. Search engines then will reward you with good rankings.

I was thinking of using it for SEO purposes not for original content. I have original content sites. I was just asking this for SEO uses. Just wondering if anyone has seen these sites and if this is legal I read that this is. Wp-o-matic etc.. programs are out there.

It is legal as long as you link back to the original articles you ripped from. Within the wp-o-matich plugin you can use it to automatically leave a link back to the article.

I did a test with a few autoblogs a couple of years back and the results were poor, you will never build up any type of loyal following with bad content.

I'm not using it for content nor readers. I don't need organic searches to lead to the site.

If humans find your content engaging and useful they will give you natural backlinks which are very valuable in the search results. If your content offers nothing other than duplicate scrapped content you will not get natural backlinks and in fact will receive some sort of negative penalty if you ever make it to the top 10 results anyways.

Either way it is a waste of time because you can't benefit long-term.

If you had an autoblogging section in your site then that would be fine, its legal if you reference it. I wouldn't make that your primary focus though, better to have your own content.
