Is having a splash page for your website bad for SEO?

Take my site for example. It has a splash page:

    www.Tradinguranium.com
    Code (markup):
Now, if I try to get pagerank up for example and I use the URL www.tradinguranium.com then will the splash page be pageranked, and the main page not be page ranked?

Anyone have any advice on this subject (splash pages)

    Thanks

Personally, I don't like splash pages because I think most users find them to be annoying, but they are terrible from an SEO perspective as well since there's no text on the page.

Don't just look at the SEO side of things when considering your splash pages. More importantly is the user experience. Do they need to see the splash page? Is it not possible to leave off that page? Does it contain information that can't be understood well when doing static pages?

Is your site scraping for contents?

Do you mean a flash splash page? i dont see on there. if yes, its not adviceable for seo. try to add some text to the page and use the flash part by part.but keep in mind that it will ruin your end user experience. so ultimately it boils down to two questions.
    - do you really need one? does your users like it? and
    - how much of it is needed?
