hey im wondering if my menu was a iframe would that hurt my seo. reason for it i will be displaying a ton of links and if i never used a iframe it would be bad to have like 50+ links in the left menu with a iframe it will allow me to have my advertising space and a cool menu. I want to know will it effect my seo like will the SE's pick up all the pages and count the internal links form the iframe menu because if the site is 1000 pages and the menu is on all 1000 pages would the SE see that as ok.
thats not true if u have no title take for the iframe it will display whats on the page im talking about a iframe not frames. take a look at the menu i found at animewallpapers . com
If you want to use an iframe menu I'd recommend at least hard coding the menu into your home page. If nothing else it will make all your links 1 click closer to the homepage in the SE's eyes. This should also help the PR of inner pages as pages one click away from the home page usually have a PR of 1 less while pages two clicks away from the home page usually have a PR of 2 less.
