I have two sites that have been ranked 1 and 2 respectively on google for the last 2 years. They have suddenly dropped 60 places altough both have risen 10 places or so since. These sites have a dramatic effect on my business and was wondering if there are any analists out there willing to take a look into this. Serious people only please, am sick of being ripped off with so called seo specialists on things like this.
what is URL and keywords? So that I can analyze your website. May be your website is not cache by google for long time, check it cache date, if too late submit in digg, stumbleupon, reddit etc.

It appears that you might have the -30 penalty. Do some research on that topic and you'll find some information about how to diagnose it...and hopefully correct it.
Ummm Hello... Have your read Google's Webmaster Guidelines? Specifically, have your read their guidelines regarding participating in link exchanges? I suggest you read and understand them. Your links page on your Alvor site as well as you links page on the Praia da Rocha site are blatent violation of Google's Webmaster Guidelinks. You're not even trying to hide the fact that you are promoting link exchanges... You are even telling people how it will help them from an SEO perspective instead of telling them how linking to related, relevant sites will improve their site's user experience: You are also linking to other sites that blatently promote link exchanges at the bottom of your page like: You are also linking to other sites that are violating Google's Webmaster Guidelines. By linking to "bad neighborhoods" you make your site subject to penalty as well. It also looks as though you are allowing paid advertising on your site and providing those advertisers with FOLLOWed links back to their site. This is also a violation Google Webmaster Tools. I would suggest that you add a rel="nofollow" attribute to the outbound links to your advertiser's sites on these pages and any others where you are displaying links to advertising sites: http://www.praiadarochaonline.com/praia_da_rocha_barsandclubs.htm http://www.praiadarochaonline.com/dalys.html Someone likely reported you for link exchange violations or selling links, and now Google is punishing you with a -50 or -60 type penalty... I suggest you get rid of all reciprocal links that are not specifically for sites directly related to the topic of your sites and that you either remove or rel="nofollow" all paid advertising links. Then fill out a Reconsideration Request using Google's Webmaster Tools and explain to Google you were not aware these were violations, that you have removed all of the offending links, and apologize for having violated their guidelines. Then pray they are feeling generous and lift the penalty.
Thanks for the in depth reply Canonical. I have done most of what you have said. The only thing I have not done is add no follows to the dalys link for example. We do not add a link to a companies site. We merely do a write up for that client and create an extra page on our site which surely creates extra content for the reader. However I would really appreciate it if you looked again before I ask for a reconsider request. I have removed all "affiliate" wording also as I was not sure how google would view that also. Link exchange links have been removed as has all mention of reciprocal linking etc etc.
Any paid links with dofollow is still considered as violating. Creating new pages from your domain or subdomain is still considered the same. I suggest you to read properly on Canonical notes properly.
