Hi VS. Oman is south of Saudi Arabia on the Arabian Sea. Weather during winter is like San Diego summer. Went to high school at Helix, La Mesa. Know your area well.

Debunked... Told them to "show me the money"... they did. Actually, I specialize in bringing major telephone companies from government owned monopolies to publicly traded competitive ones. I advise the president and board members on how to do it.

I stay away from this by owning just a cellular phone. Down with monopolies.

its not always so easy to break it... for instance, here, in Serbia, many people are on the back of that company, meaning that the state (big) earnings on it go into filling holes in the budget for social help, pensiones, and similar stuff. There are more peple feed by its monopoly, than us, Internet users who suffer because of it... (speaking about 'fixed' telephony, or whatever its right to say 'ordinar phone telephony' which is the thing, beside voip/internet link where tc. monopoly exists.... pretty sh1ty, but if our politicians dont break it, europeans will. :)

What drives it is the desire and need of the various countries to join the WTO (World Trade Organization). To join the WTO, the governments have to divest and allow competition within telecommunications. It will eventually happen within every country.
