SEO advice with my domain

I bought a domain today with 20,000+ searches per month. it had obviously expired as it appears to be a 4 year old domain. My question is this:

Will I almost immediately be placed high ranking in google for the search term of my domain name?

For instance, my domain name is " myexamplesite.com"
if the user searches for "my example site" in google will my site display in the top rankings within a few weeks as long as I have good related content on my site?

    Thanks for the info!

Well... here's the thing. If you search your domain name it should always come up first, no matter what you do. If people are searching your domain name already then you don't have anything to worry about. However, if people search for what the site has to offer rather than the domain name that's a different story because it'll probably take awhile to get ranked for those search terms.

No. You have to build up your rankings just like with any other domain...

You have advantage over your competitors by having this domain names as it is aged and has exact keyword into it.

But it doesn't mean you will get top ranking without any extra effort(quality content and backlinks). So your domain name is big part of your success but not everything

Make sure your on-site SEO is optimized for your main keywords. Keep fresh, unique content and quality backlinks pointing towards your site.

Don't forget to use Google's webmaster tools to submit your site, submit your new sitemap, and also do an htaccess redirect from http://yourdomain . com to http://www.yourdomain.com (or the reverse if you intend to have the www version as your primary domain.) It will take a while for Google to index your new site, but after the initial few months are up, you could come out with excellent placements and traffic.
