Hi guys, Late October my sites went down the toilet at Google serp's. Long story short: authority sites went down, all of them to 5th page. Unique content, seo'd, old and trusted sites. So last week i decided to take some actions. First, move those sites to WP. Started moving them one by one, using Allinoneseo and providing some other tweaks. This is a test i'll be doing for some months, just to check if rankings will be better or not and why. I'll be posting updates here. if you have any question or comment, be my guest. Wish me luck!
you are doing that for the past few months already. any noticable change? other than migration, are you doing any link building for them as well?
I've been hearing a ton of this around... We saw some sinking also.. It's bound to happen from time-to-time.
Just finished another migration a few hours ago, what a pain Just submitted RSS feed and started a small link building campaign, a local one. Just a quick update on those sites i own that were just there for some time now, and ranking very high with no content (besides a lorem ipsum text) since last update (late October), they're now full of unique content and starting to get some sales on them. It's so weird, good sites went down the toilet - these no content ones were ranking high. But hey that's cool, since i'm getting some traffic and sales
How is your site's link structure? If it is like : http://yoursite.com/?p=3 change it to : http://yoursite.com/article-title/ This tip will definitely increase your SERP's.Make sure all the new pages are indexed in google. Good luck!
Thanks for the tip but already did that That's one of the most basic tweaks we do at WP. And the pages are getting indexed quite fast, fortunately.
