ok. i was wondering enough for google backlink check. why is it not showing backlinks by "link:domain.com" but google webmaster showing right report for external backlinks. i did research on some sites and figured out that "link:domain.com" catches those who has put text/backlink like: www.domain.com or domain.com but if the page link is given like: A keyword, this kinds of backlinks have not been displayed by google search with "link:domain.com" for many sites. What's your opinion? May be for this reason, some forum user use signature like wwW.domain.com or domain.com and they don't use Domain What do you think about the reasons that don't show backlinks with "link:domain.com" ?
Completely absurd. Google displays only few backlinks when you use the operator. There is a reason behind this. If Google displays all the links via link operator the person who will be benefited the most will be your competitor. He/she will have all your backlink data. That's why Google give you the complete backlinks data in GWT. This is Google' policy. On the other hand Yahoo! has different approach and shows all the links via Yahoo! Site Explorer
