Sending Traffic Directly to clickbank landing page versus your own website

Hello, I have spent significant money on google adwords trying to determine what keywords convert traffic best, and how to do this. I have set up a number of the campaigns to point directly to the vendor's landing page, and some to point to my own review page. What I am wondering is, do you guys find that preselling from your own site has a much higher overall conversion rate than sending traffic directly to clickbank landing page?

I am getting almost no conversions at all. The problem with sending traffic to your landing page is that a lot of them are not going to even click through! At least when you send a customer directly to the page they see the offer right there.

Has either direct or presell had significantly more success for anyone out there? Can anyone say one is much better than the other?

I might scrap clickbank and try another affiliate network, or try selling a physical product. I am starting to wonder if clickbank's numbers are wrong and they are shaving sales.

By sending traffic directly at product landing page will not give you much sale. I always create a simple one page review blog & get better result.

No send your traffic directly to your affiliate link and give them a chance to see the product and you will become successful.

It really depends on the product in question. There is no hard and fast rule about it. In general, I've found any product that has a 'simple' conversion is usually best to link direct and not add the extra step as it won't increase conversion enough to justify it. Any sort of product that is expensive, or fills a secondary want, rather than an immediate need, it is usually best to add a landing page in there.

That said, you should really split test both. May I ask what general niche you're in, I might be able to give a better answer

Offer them a good freebie and ask your visitors to sign up for your newsletter to receive the gift.

Later you can advertise them by sending your offers .
