Sending SMS

    I am going to start on a new project which requires me to send sms to india. The sms will be sent to anyone who has registered for the purpose. Can anyone plz tell me how to do it? Any help is appreciated.

    Search for ozeki sms, there are other sms servers out there, but from personal experience I know that this software works with a massive range of mobile phones.

    Maybe u should take a look for service mail2sms.. It's free and easy to use... maybe u could use it..

    If you wanted to use software only, clickatell would be the place to look, thier api is pretty good, thought I would mention that .....

    Sorry, I forgot to tell you that the project is a website. Hence I want a software only solution. Ozeki needs a GSM mobile phone to be attached to the PC, which is not possible in my case :(
    Clickatell website is not working at present. I'm getting 404 error.
    mail2sms is used to convert an email message to sms format. Thats not exactly what I want, thanks anyways :).

    It is Clickatell. But the website is down.

    I didn't find any bulk sms option in the site. I will contact the owner directly, thanks :)

    I have used service provided by www.znisms.com they are giving developer api from which you can send web based sms easily & their service is easy to use. You can check out their API page also http://www.znisms.com/api.html

    yep, strange that their url has one 'l' but the company name has 2.. food for thought! hehe

    i use clickatel, their api is easy to use, and theyre cheap.

    actually, both urls work for me, one or two l's :S

    also, it's spelt with two l's on the site, and in every email I have ever recieved from them......
